Trivia
Earlier in the film, when Shere Khan chases Mowgli into a valley, there was a stampede of buffalo. In the original novel, Shere Khan was killed by a stampede of buffalo (at Mowgli's direction) while sleeping.Goofs
Baloo manages to save Mowgli before he is devoured by Kaa, however, later in the movie, Baloo needs Mowgli to get honey for him that is hanging from a cliff because he can't climb, yet we clearly saw that Mowgli was standing on a branch high above the ground during his encounter with Kaa. How did Baloo even manage to get up there?Quotes
Akela: Mowgli is a member of our pack!Shere Khan: Mowgli... they've given it a name! When was it we come to adopt man to this jungle?
Akela: He's just a cub.
Shere Khan: [shows his scars] Does my face not remind you of what grown man can do?

Disney Makes History, Topping $1 Billion in Domestic Ticket Sales in Just 128 Days.
Directed
by Jon Favreau (Iron Man), based on Rudyard Kipling's timeless stories
and inspired by Disney's classic animated film, The Jungle Book is an
all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a
man-cub who's been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is
no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice
of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what
he sees as a threat. Urged to abandon the only home he's ever known,
Mowgli embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery, guided by
panther-turned-stern mentor Bagheera (voice of Ben Kingsley), and the
free-spirited bear Baloo (voice of Bill Murray). Along the way, Mowgli
encounters jungle creatures who don't exactly have his best interests at
heart, including Kaa (voice of Scarlett Johansson), a python whose
seductive voice and gaze hypnotizes the man-cub, and the smooth-talking
King Louie (voice of Christopher Walken), who tries to coerce Mowgli
into giving up the secret to the elusive and deadly red flower: fire.
This is a terrific must see movie. No wonder it has been achieving unprecedented massive success everywhere.
